Ornithobacterium rhinotracheale Infection in a Commercial Broiler Flock

Abstract: Respiratory diseases due to infectious agents are an important problem in the broiler chicken industry. One of the most important infectious agents of chickens is Ornithobacterium rhinotracheale, which has recently been isolated in Turkey and around the world. In this report, O. rhinotracheale infection was detected in broiler chickens submitted to the poultry disease laboratory with respiratory problems, increased mortality and retarded growth.
