Abstract: Juvenile mussels collected from the wild were fed with five different marine microalgae species (Chlorella sp., Tetraselmis suecica, Dunaliella tertiolecta,Chaetoceros calcitrans and Nannochloropsis oculata)for five months.According to the results, significantly higher growth in length and weight were obtained with diets of Tetraselmis suecica and Chaetoceros calcitrans (P<0.05). A better survival rate (90%)was found when mussels were fed with Chaetoceros calcitrans (P<0.05).
