Abstract: Leishmaniasis is a worldwide, parasitic disease found in the Mediteranean area, Africa, Asia and Central and South America that affects mainly dogs, humans, and rodents. Dogs are the domestic reservoirs of the visceral form so that early detection of canine infections including complex clinical features may be important in the control of lehismaniasis. In this article we compared the clinical and laboratory results of leishmaniasis, which was diagnosed immunologically and histologically in a dog.
