Abstract: The various behavioural characteristics of Caucasian, C. Anatolian and Erzurum honeybee (Apis mellifera L.) genotypes in the conditions of Erzurum were examined in this study. A total of 30 colonies were used in the experiment; 10 colonies of each genotype. Stinging tendencies differed between the groups (P<0.05). But the difference of between genotypes with respect to swarming tendencies was not significant. The groups showed different robbing tendencies (P<0.01). According to the results, the Caucasian group was the most gentle and the Central Anatolian group showed the highest robbing tendency among the others in the research region. However, the genotypes showed similar swarming tendencies.
