Magnetoresistance Measurements on Fe/Cu Multilayer System

Abstract: The variation in the magnetoresistance effect in Fe/Cu multilayer system as functions of Fe (or Cu) layer thickness and temperature has been investigated by means of the traditional four point probe method. The change in magnetoresistance is attributed to the spin-spin scattering and the alloying formation at interface region. The temperature dependence of the magnetoresistance effect is related to the electron-magnon scattering.
