On the Lattice Viscous Flow

Authors: Umurdin DALABAYEV

Abstract: A thin-lattice viscous flow has been treated within a plane channel. In order to describe the above flow a mutual-penetrating model was used for a two-phase medium assuming that a solid-phase motion is lacking. If in equations obtained porosity is taken to be equal to 1 then the Navier-Stokes equations are derived. Thus, in a solution region where the lattice is located, porosity is assumed to be equal to that of the lattice, and for the rest regions, porosity is taken to be equal to 1. The equations obtained were solved using the algorithm SIMPLE by generalizing it to the case under consideration. Hydrodynamical flow characteristics have been obtained as well.
