The Distribution of Atmospheric Noise in Low and Very Low Frequencies (5-50 kHz) Over İstanbul

Abstract: In this study, the variation of the atmospheric noise over İstanbul in the range 5-50 kHz (VLF-LF) both in July and January has been measured, the minimum level of noise required for communication has been deteremined and the effects the variation of electronic concentration in the height between 60-90 km of the atmosphere on the noise have been investigated.
