Analysis of Prediction of 0perative Mortality in Geriatric Patients

Abstract: Despite our youth oriented society, people in world lives longer than ever before. The decision making process in elderly patients requiring surgery of the abdomen is often complicated and difficult. ln this study, we investigated operative risk factors of aged patients. Precise knowledge of anticipated mortality will help the surgeon elobrate his/her recommendation. The results of our study show that estimation of postoperative mortality in geriatric patients which were subjected to abdominal surgery can be predicted by MIX formula.
