Abstract: VEPs are electrical potentials evoked from visual stimuli and recorded from human scalp. Pregnancy is a time when serum levels of estrogen and progesteron are considerably greater than in the non-pregnant state. In this study whole Pattern Reversal VEP (PRVEP) latencies and amplitudes have been compared in 35 pregnant and 16 healthy non-pregnant women. The mean P_{100} latencies were shorter and the mean P_{100} amplitudes were smaller in the pregnant women.
