Abstract: We aimed to perform brachial plexus block in newborn cadavers and adapt the results to clinical studies. For this purpose using 30 newborn cadavers, 52 supraclavicular brachial plexus blocks were performed by using the midpoint of clavicle and the first rib as landmarks. Skin to first rib distances were recorded in every cadaver and 0.75 ml/kg of methylene blue was injected. After the exploration of supraclavicular region, the results were evaluated. When staining of plexus were examined, 90.4% of the injections were found successful. Puncture of subclavian vessels and penetration of cupula of the pleura occurred 9.6% and 1.9% respectively. lt may be suggest that in new-borns the brachial plexus block can de performed with the similar technique and volume.
