On Modified Baskakov Operators on Weighted Spaces

Abstract: The author presents a modification of the Baskakov operator for the intervals [0,b_{n}], where b_{n} is an increasing sequence of positive numbers with either finite or infinite limit. Convergence properties of such an operator for continuous and differentiable functions in weighted space are established.
