Transverse Vibration of a Beam Under Constant Stress

Abstract: In this study, transverse vibrations of a beam made of two materials and with a variable cross section were investigated. Dimensionless natural frequency values of the system were found by the Rayleigh-Ritz approach. Moreover, the energy amounts of the system accumulated per unit mass were calculated. The results were given in tables for comparison.
