Abstract: The efficiency and pressure loss of rotary regenerators were inavestigated experimentally. A rotary regenerator was constructed using aluminium plates and was used in the experiments. The experiments were performed at various rotationel speeds between 2 rev/min and 7 rev/min, at two air flow rates of 0.83 m^3/s and 0.93 m^3/s and at three different temperatures of exhaust air, varying between 45 °C and 60°C. It was found that the influence of rotationel speed, air flow rate and the temperature of the exhaust air was negligible for the range of parameters covered in the experiments. An efficiency of about 60 % was obtained under all conditions.
