A Calibration Method for 3-Tube Pressure Probes

Abstract: In this paper, a calibration method for 3-tube pressure probes is presented. This method provides a simple and rapid measurement for mean flow parameters in a non-axial pipe flow. Local flow direction, resultant velocity with axial and tangential components and magnitude of static pressure can be calculated using the probe calibration curves. The calibration is valid for a plane yaw angle range of -45°
