Boundary Layer Growth on a Plate with Leading Edge flow Separation

Abstract: The results of an experimental investigation on the influence of leading edge flow separation upon flow field on a plate are presented in this paper. The development of the boundary layer downstream of an attachment line on a flat plate with a 10¼ swept leading edge has been studied under a zero streamwise pressure gradient. The critical conditions representing the origin of turbulent flow on the plate have been determined.
