Abstract: In this study, both in-plane and out-of-plane free vibration of uniform arcs of an elastic, homogeneous and isotropic material having a double-symmetrical cross section have been studied numerically by the transfer matrix method with the Timoshenko's beam theory. The effects of the vibrational parameters such as the shapes of cross sections, the opening angles, the slenderness ratios, the boundary conditions on the natural frequencies have been investigated in detail.
