Synthesis and Spectrophotometric Investigation of a New vic-Dioxime Ligand and Its Transition Metal Complexes

Abstract: A new vic-dioxime ligand and its Cu(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Pd(II), VO(IV) and Zn(II) complexes have been prepared and characterized by elemental analyses, infrared, electronic spectra, magnetic moment and molar conductance data. The Ni(II), Pd(II) and Zn(II) complexes have a diamagnetic character. The ^{1}H- and ^{13}C-nmr and GC/MS spectra of the vic-dioxime ligand and its Ni(II), Pd(II) and Zn(II) complexes were recorded. In addition, all compounds are non-electrolyte.
