Abstract: In this study, the total amount of dyeing substances present in onion (Allium cepa L.) was determined by using the extraction method. The extracted substanc were used in the dyeing of woollen strips, feathered- leather and cotton. Dyeing conditions and other characteristics were determined and the repeatable specifics were evaluated for these processes so that ligh fast colours could be obtained.
