Preparation, Spectroscopic Studies and Biological Activity of Mono-organotin(IV) Derivatives of Non-Steroidal Anti-inflammatory Drugs

Abstract: A set of 14 mono-organotin(IV) derivatives of general formulae n-BuSnClL_2 and n-BuSnL_3, where `L' are various non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), were synthesized and structurally characterized by vibrational, ^1H, ^{13}C and ^{119}Sn spectroscopies and mass spectrometry to propose their structure. Biological activity data (antibacterial, antifungal and cytotoxicity) of the synthesized complexes were compared with the precursors to establish the significance of the complexes.
