Abstract: The present study reports on species of macrofungi collected from 2002 to 2005 in Cocakdere valley in the central Taurus mountains. This area is protected and is one of the important plant areas in Turkey. In the field and during laboratory studies 186 taxa belonging 2 divisions and 44 families were identified. Among them, 6 families and 10 species belong to Ascomycota, and 38 families and 186 species belong to Basidiomycota. Moreover, 4 taxa-Cortinarius aureifolius, Inocybe hygrophorus, Ramaria suecica, and Scytinostroma portentosum -were found in the Turkish mycobiota for the first time.
