Lichens of the Thrace Region of Turkey

Abstract: This paper gives the distribution of lichens in the Thrace region determined in this study and in nine previous studies as well. The genus Placidiopsis ( Verrucariaceae) is recorded for the first time in Turkey and thirty-three of the species are recorded for the first time for the region. With the completion of this study, the number of known lichen species in the region reaches 201.
