Investigation of Mold Flora in Moldy Cheeses of Konya and its Vicinity

Abstract: In this study, 140 moldy cheese samples were investigated in view of mold flora. 9 microfungi species which belong to Penicillium and Aspergillus genera were isolated from moldy cheese samples. 87.16% of isolates were Penicillium and 12.84% were Aspergillus species. P. ro-queforti were determined as dominant species in all samples.
