Abstract: Hydrological and meteorological events are effected from different factors. Their values in future can only be determined by probability and statistical laws because rainfall intensities at standard time occurring under different eftects are random character. However, these values not being random character can not be used in their present situation in system simulation, frequency analysis, watershed amelioration, drainage studies, urban settlement planning, etc. In this study, it is aimed to examine some statistical analysis techniques thought to be helpful in deciding sufficiency of rainfall intensities at standard times in studies in questions. Depending on this aim, 14 rainfall intensities at standard times recorded by a pluviyograph among 1944-1987 in Adana Meteorology Station were analysed for this purpose.
