Abstract: Potassium, calcium, phosphor, manganese, magnesium, iron, copper and zinc contents were determined for seven different classes of tea produced by orthodox and Çaykur methods in 3 shooting periods of the 1995 production season. Forty-two (2x3x7) samples were used in the analysis. While the Ca, P, Cu and Zn contents of the samples were affected significantly (p>0.01) by shooting period, method and class, K and Fe contents were affected only by shooting period and class, Mn content was affected only by method and Mg content was affected only by shooting period.
