Abstract: Some physical and chemical analyses were done in sexteren surface (0-15 cm) soil samples from the area among Konya-Çumra-Karapınar, showing soil crusting. Relationships between sois properties and modulus of ruputre were studied. There was a positive relationship between modulus of rupture and available water silt percentages, dispersion ratio, electrical conductivity, organic matter percentage, lime content and soluble calcium, magnesium, sodium, sulfate and chlorine contents. There was a negative relationship between modulus of rupture and sand percentage, aggregate stability, exchangeable calcium content, soluble bicarbonate content. The relationships between modulus of rupture and particle density, field capacity percentage, wilting point per-centage, clay percentage, pH, cation exchange capacity, exchangeable sodium percentage, soluble potassium content were found non-significant.
