Determination of Operating Performance for Auger Conveyor

Abstract: In this research, operating performance of auger conveyor based on various crops, operating angles, intake lengths and auger speeds was determined. Operating parameters, effective on power requirement were evaluated and linear regression analysis were made for various crops. Moreover, torque-speed characteristics of auger at starting were also obtained. According to the research results, it's indicated that a numerical approach could be developed while designing, determining suitable power source and operating of auger conveyor.
